May 2023… After attending multiple sporting events, senior nights and seasonal sport banquets throughout the year, due to multiple family members being on multiple teams, we noticed coaches were doing a lot on their own, buying additional equipment out of pocket, providing transportation for athletes, etc. with minimal support from parents and the community. We thought to ourselves, “Let’s hold a fundraiser to raise money and ensure every athlete receives a special gift on senior night, let’s have more food and entertainment during sport banquets, and let’s help coaches supply essentials to athletes“ And boom, that’s when it happened… we became the boosters.

There were only three of us, but we were dedicated. We honestly stumbled into launching the Athletic Boosters program. It took a lot of research, speaking with experts, and filling out official paperwork. We saw the need in our school and we were determined to make a difference. The children needed us, the coaches needed us and the community needed us. They needed someone to come along and say, “We see you; We’re here to help; Let’s bring pride back to the West side;”.
